Swinton v Doncaster is a 3pm kick off on Sunday 18th September at their Haywood Road ground

The winner will have a week off then be at home in the final, the loser will be at home to the winner of North Wales v Rochdale

N Wales v Rochdale to be screened on The Sportsman ... https://www.thesportsman.com/articles/north-wales-rochdale-league-1-play-off-clash-to-be-screened-live-by-the-sportsman No mention of our game on their website. Our League is not presently showing any games to be covered this weekend. The Sportsman is covering the League One final.

Looking at the squad, we've been lucky with injuries this season. When we have missed players they've not been out for too long.

Before Wanderer makes his next million, I'm going to guess the bookies will be giving us between 8 and 10 points start.

On a strict interpretation of those results on consecutive weekends, the Dons have 12 points to find.

Using the bookies 6 points for home advantage, the Dons performance gets upgraded by 6 points as they did actually play at North Wales regular home whereas Swinton won at what was effectively a neutral venue.

However, this week Swinton have home advantage (worth six points) so either way you look at it Swinton should be 12 point favourites on the most recent form.

It being a play off game and the only thing which matters in reality is the win, neither team have to win by more than a single point. That said, I wouldn't be surprised if DM was correct with 8 or 10 points being the bookies handicap.

On a music theme, gone for Popmaster in the Ayr Gold Cup at 16/1. Its a proper gamble in that cavalry charge.

Good luck, Wilf. Will be a tidy price if he comes good.

He's drawn 23 of 25. According to Timeform the draw strongly favours low numbers. He ran well last time and should have a chance though. I'll cheer him on for you!

Interestingly, the winner of yesterday's 6f Ayr Bronze Cup, Danzan was drawn 23 and the horses drawn 24 and 25 finished 5th and 2nd.

Popmaster currently 11/1 with Bet365 so 16/1 looks a good price.
