have heared that the Rovers are in talks with the mayor about buying the stadium, so it will become Rovers own.
I do think the Rovers would look after us though, they did at Belle Vue after all
I also heard the rumour, but to be fair the current mayor got elected on a number of promises which are out of his remit, and I feel this may be another one.
It is possible the money used to build the stadium was loaned on the proviso that it was to be used as a Community Stadium. I suppose if it ceased to be a Community Stadium penalties may be imposed.
Although the Keepmoat is nt ideal, I remember having the ordeal of watching Hunslet at Elland Road with my knees under my many chins, or being upto date the not too glorious South Leeds Stadium, or sat getting wet 3 miles away from the action at the Don Valley Stadium, or stood in a stadium with no seats in half the ground and at Halifax, or York with 8 lanes around it. Those are only the ones that immediately spring to mind, the Keepmoat does nt feel that bad after all, and it is really up to whoever takes the club on in the future to make the Keepmoat work better for the Dons.
