This annual pilgrimage is one of the reasons we did not purchase season tickets. Fev will provide very good hospitality for the Club (wining and dining the CEO and the sponsors) and we will be told its an excellent venue blah blah blah. Two of our big home games are now away and with sod all advantage for the home team. It is getting beyond a joke and we will not be travelling for these games.

And they want us to believe that they are serious about promotion, abode of lollocks.

Yep makes no difference to Mr hall where we play.... donny rovers season starts on the 3rd of August. So are u telling me that 6 days earlier the pitch won’t be ready to use... load of S**T....

With everything that has gone off this season, watching the dons is become too tiresome... I’m at the point now where I’m seriously considering this to be my last season... I’m on holiday for the Oldham game so that leaves just 1 home game vs west wales between now and mid August. And they wonder why crowds are low..

I raised the issue of these two games being moved with someone with connections to the club at the Hunslet home game and was told that they would be played as normal because the surface work was now a bi annual event.

There have been numerous comments about seeking out Doncaster based venues but for my money if the CEO is happy we should all be happy. :SUBMISSION:

Somewhere in Bonny Donny (Twinned with Krakatoa in 1883).

I am not going knee jerk about watching the Dons and it can't be easy to arrange things, but it can't be impossible.
Playing away for home fixtures is just NOT ON.
If the club can't get its head round that ... then?
It's just not joined up business.
But not to worry ... we are all moaning buggers and can't see the bigger picture.
Get behind the lads!!!!

My thoughts on this ...

The fixtures are not released officially until viewed / agreed by the Clubs and Club Doncaster know pretty much when the pitch won't be available. With the agreement of opposition and the RFL, some fixture reversals would surely be possible thus allowing us to play all home matches at the Keepmoat Stadium?

Yep they must have known for some time the exact dates the pitch was out of commission. I'm surprised that the home game against Oldham has not fallen victim as well. Just a guess but I wonder if the Rovers and the potential playoff games have had a bearing.

Rovers start the new season on the 3rd of August. Our game 6 days earlier has been moved. Rovers will have at least 1 friendly at home so struggling to see why that game has been moved ?
