How did Ben Howe go at full back ?
Was there a late changing involving Bull as suggested by Jemmo on facebook ?

I know both teams had to play in the same heat but it must be hard after travelling 190 miles .

I heard from a relative he was taken ill the day of the game and had to pull out of the squad last minute.

These short match reports don't tell the full story...
Reading the one in the RL Express is depressing...not least because the Dons did a high tackle on the same bloke late in both halfs...the second when he was kicking and not near our line. The penalty was then awarded where the ball landed...10m out.
Not only that...the Dons had 2 field goal attempts after that...and one went wide and the other was charged down.
Charged down...ffs...it took me back to Fev when we had Newcastle just where we wanted them...drop goal probably wins the tied game.
So Beryl gets charged down because he is too close, they go down the other end and showed how to do it.
Stand back...guys can't block it unless offside or 12 feet tall.
I wasn't there, I don't know...field goals are often rushed...but if you are planning one...stand back.
Sounds like a bit of a cock up all round to me...
