The club has to say something in difficult situations like this ... but for me it is nonsense. How daft is it to say we have a plan A and plan B. Plan A is dead in the water ... when they said it it was dead in the water ... I trust that they didn't waste too much time on it!
If it was me, I'd have apologised and said ... "If we go down, we are coming straight back up, that's a pledge, so stick with us."
Instead we have the appealing plan B. Not this season when we needed it, but next . With a season's evidence of how good our planning is at present.
We hardly ever get top players. We get cast-offs and players that are not anywhere near maturity and not able to take on seasoned quality players. It's all a bit Steptoe and Son for my liking A cart load of used false teeth anyone?
How about signing someone we have heard of for next season, that would be a good start. COYD
At a fans forum meeting the club did apologise and said that we would make every effort to gain promotion at the first attempt , this was backed up by Gavin Baldwin who said funds would be available to facilitate this ambition , and Carl hall has since tweeted that we have more or less got a quality signing in place and to watch this space

Sounds good just a pity its a season too late! COYD
as said its all just a smoke screen to keep everyone onside for next season completely right Leafy a season to late. A fortnight would be too late never mind a season. the horse has gone and taken the supporters and their trust with it!
Don't know if you go on the fans facebook page onedon, but on there it is generally a different view. Sure there are some who say they won't be going again etc, but a lot more are behind Carl and willing to give the new coach a chance. Fans said the club should admit they made mistakes , they did and said they are going to try and put things right, yes they could, and probably should, have done thing's sooner, but it didn't happen , nothing can change that now. They say they've learned from those mistakes, let's hope they have. I for one believe that Carl Hall is telling us the truth about about club Doncaster's intent for next season and beyond. Whether I think club Doncaster are telling Carl the truth......well, the jury's out.

When I was at a meeting Gav Baldwin was in attendance and he was supportive of all the comments made he seemed genuine in the ambitions of club doncaster and he confirmed that money was made available and still is

I don't doubt he seemed genuine TD, you and the other fans in attendance had good things to say about the meeting. Just saying we need to judge them on what they do from NOW , and give them the chance to right the wrongs. But it is up to club Doncaster to prove it means what it says.

Well it had better be a quality signing. Because our last good signing was some time back.
Money aside the role models to me are Leigh and Sheffield. The ethos is skill, speed and power. Any old Joe slow Soap can get into our side, but the above two won't entertain them. We need to wake up ... no more Sheffield and Fev cast-offs should be tolerated. Our recruitment strategy is hopeless.

I can assure you that at the meeting GT did assure us that fitness was his priority , that's what won York the title last season , he did say that our club was lacking in the fitness dept and he was dealing with the best he could in the short training sessions that was available

I am glad to hear it. He can't be very happy with pedigree he has inherited. That much is not his fault

Surely the clubs management must have know some time ago that the players were lacking in fitness but they didn't do anything about it rank bad management.
