More to the point,why didn't Horne see his potential when he was here and sign him?They've just signed Halliday on. Typical of a club lacking ambition.

Good luck to the lad, other than him looking good under the high ball I didn't see a lot in him to be honest so am surprised he has gone to a SL club. Seemed scared of taking the ball in; and it was his inability or unwillingness to chase back that got Newcastle in field position for their wining drop goal. I'd play Sam, Chrimes and Halliday ahead of him. Also got to assume he was looking for SL wages and full time, which would have been a lunacy for us to pay. IMO

He was a chunky, athletic lad, but he didn't seem overly interested in going forward and having a sprint.
He dealt with what was thrown at him very well, but that was it.
I was expecting a few barging runs. To be fair he was never given a clear cut chance with poor service from his centre, almost like he was being protected, a bit like Lawton was for a long time.

Maybe the full time wage will help solve that unwillingness.
