Hunslet Hawks RLFC are delighted to announce the signing of Wayne Reittie from Doncaster.
Reittie a winger is a former Hunslet Scholarship player and progressed through the famous Hunslet Parkside junior ranks.
Leeds born Reittie joins the Hawks until the end of the season as is the latest player to leave Doncaster following their recent financial problems.
Hunslet acquired the 21 year old's signature despite interest from York City Knight's.
Director of Rugby Darren Williams said " We are thrilled to add Wayne to our ranks for the remainder of our promotion push, he will add power and pace to our back line and is proven at not only Championship level but for the Hawks to be able to attract Wayne to drop down a division speaks volumes for the club and just shows the giant strides we have made on and off the pitch this season."
"He adds to the local players already at the club which was our aim to attract the Leeds born players back to play for their hometown club."
"Wayne will make his Hawks debut in the Reserves home fixture on Friday evening ironically against York City Knight's Reserves."
Reittie added " I am delighted to join the Hawks and hope to play my part in their push for promotion, after the recent troubles at my previous club I just want to concentrate on playing rugby again and helping my home town team to achieve the success that their efforts deserve."
