Does Weatherspoons have a stadium to watch rugby?
With dwindling attendance at the stadium how long before it will no longer be viable to operate for The Dons.
From a commercial point it must be all part of the equasion sales of food, drinks, car parking income so not sure we should be putting visitors off using these facilities.Loss of income on these must surely lead to an increase in the cost of operation by the stadium company who will look to increase revenue in other ways.
It was £1.50 for a tea bag some hot water ang a splash of UHT milk at Rochdale but they didn't suggest we stop off at McDonalds where it would be bigger and better for about a £1.
Keepmoat is a first class stadium to watch The Dons and the provision of food and drink undercover inside the stadium is a bonus.
Club representatives continue to state that they receive no revenue from the things you list above and are indeed looking to strike deals with local pubs such as the Cheswold for before and / or after matches.
The Dons biggest problem is not that people might choose to eat or drink elsewhere it is that the town of Doncaster appears not to want a professional / semi-professional rugby league club. An attendance of 285 for the last home game (where the visitors brought 50 of those) paints a very bleak picture indeed.
The Keepmoat is a first class stadium agreed but lets be realistic the place is soulless when the Dons are only being watched by the sort of crowds now attending.
On a personal note, I and others it would appear from the comments earlier in the thread, would not recommend the drink at the Keepmoat Stadium. That is simply an honest opinion - If I had asked the same question on another Clubs messageboard, I too would hope for an honest answer.
As a customer, if I am not happy with the product then I will not endorse it. If however the product improves I would be more than happy to do so. I believe that it has been noted that people are not happy with the current situation reference drinks at the Stadium (and haven't been for some time) and there may be some changes ahead.
