In an unprecedented fashion, Doncaster RLFC's head coach Tony Miller is requesting all Dons fans and supporters, old and new, to attend an extraordinary meeting on Tuesday 13 December 2011.The club has an opportunity to sign a proven and experienced Super League player but they can't do it without the help of their fans and supporters. This is the first time that Miller has called such a meeting which highlights the important nature of the matter - all details will be revealed on the night.
Miller said: "We all know that the forthcoming season is arguably the most important of the club's history and we've made it no secret that we're targeting a return to the Championship.
"If we're to achieve our objectives, we need to sign the best players that are available to us.
"An opportunity has arisen for the club to sign a player of undoubted class - this is simply an opportunity that the club cannot afford to miss out on.
"Please encourage all your friends and family to attend the meeting and spread the word around town. I look forward to seeing you all there."
Along with Miller, members of the club's Advisory Group will also be in attendance and fans and supporters will be given the chance to question the group ahead of the new season.
The meeting is to be held at the Lakeside Suite (Kiwi Café) at the Keepmoat Stadium and will start at 7:00pm. The bar will be open for refreshments.
Please do your best to attend the meeting. Thank-you for your continued support.
