Home game against North Wales 25th July - POSTPONED : Tue Jul 06, 2021 11:31 am  

Just seen on the match fixtures section of the official site that this game is listed to be played at Castleford's Mend a Hose stadium. I know Wanderer posted on the Dons supporters Facebook page that it was in doubt at the Keepmoat because the pitch may not be quite ready.

I hope this is not correct because it appears that the pitch can stand Rovers v Newcastle Utd (friendly) on Friday 23rd July but we have to traipse off to Castleford

Eagles are listed to be at home on 25th July against Halifax, KO off at 4.30pm, I wonder where that game is being played?

Clarification from the club would be appreciated if the above is correct or not.

Got to give the opposition a chance...I went to both the one's the other year vs Whitehaven and Newcastle and we lost them both...yep two home games.

I will be very disappointed if this happens, if true where is the OFFICIAL Announcement . It looks like it has brought in through the back door .

And revenue stream Paul, decent crowd for the Rovers and a good few from Newcastle versus our 6/700. We don't have a chance. And there is no way you can dress up playing at Castleford (neutral venue ) has a home game. Crusaders must be chuffed.

Where is the official announcement of Pete Bells memorial game? which it turns out now appears to be our first home game proper on August 1st v Hunslet. The offer that the club have put out to the community clubs of 2 adults and 2 children cannot be faulted. However the only source I have seen for this is on the Dons supporters facebook page.

This warrants being advertised all over the sham. Pete was great bloke and deserves a really good attendance to commemorate his life and contribution to the club.

Sadly, the issue of the North Wales fixture appears to be being handled very poorly.

Communication on the subject appears non existent and changing the information on the fixture list without an official announcement almost looks 'sneaky'. Surely the Club wishes to be seen in a better light than this?

Furthermore if a football friendly can be accommodated on the Friday it is incredibly poor form if a League One rugby league fixture cannot also be played 2 days later.

Hopefully an explanation will be provided sooner rather than later.

WELL IT IS OFFICIAL NOW see http://www.doncasterrugbylague.co.co.uk I think that is a lot the good will built up during the summer between between fans & club gone west.
