A real test this game. They are very much improved as a team hence their results and league position. Not sure if we are a settled enough team yet to match them.

If we can play with good discipline like we did last week, complete our sets well, and make them start their sets near their goal line (as we did against Oldham) we'll give ourselves a chance.

N Wales have won 36-34 at Rochdale, 13-6 at Swinton and 54-6 at Skolars. Their wins at Rochdale and Swinton look very good on paper. As Wilf says, they look a much improved team this season.

Comparing our 64-22 home defeat to Swinton with N Wales win at Swinton appears to suggest we're up against it. It'll be a very good achievement if we can turn them over. The bookies have no prices for the game yet but I suspect they'll probably be giving us 16 points start.

If we win, it'll probably give us the belief we can compete against the better teams in the league. If we don't win, the likes of Keighley, N Wales, Swinton and Rochdale will seem like the prime candidates for the top four slots with us battling with Oldham and Hunslet for fifth, sixth and seventh.

Agreed. NWC didn't need to get out of first gear in the second half. They looked a well-drilled side with plenty of size and pace.

If there was any doubt where we're at, this told game told us.

It appears DM where we are at is around that middle cluster that you have already highlighted, a little better than Midlands and Co. We do not deserve to be considered play off hopefuls on the basis of the humiliation dished out today.

It's probably odds on we'll still make the play-offs as it looks like it's two from Dons, Oldham and Hunslet plus the big four. If Hunslet turn us over in the next home game we'd probably then be odds against getting in the play-offs...

Getting into the play-offs in this division isn't actually much of an achievement considering the league is made up of three also-rans.

Some serious lessons need to be learned by the club with regards recruitment because since we got relegated we've never been able to put a squad together that has been one of the two best squads in the league.

It's always been a 'hope' that we might go up, rather than an 'expectation'. Perhaps, this season things are even worse and there is 'no hope'.

I don't blame the players as they give their best, we can ask no more. If the other side is bigger, better, faster, there is only usually one outcome.
