Hunslet v Dons Friday 26th August 2022 at 19.30 : Tue Aug 23, 2022 10:24 am
Other weekend games:Saturday: London v Midlands
Sunday: Keighley v N Wales; Rochdale v W Wales; Swinton v Oldham
League Table:
Keighley 18, 36, +729
N Wales 18, 30, +348
Swinton 18, 28, +462
Dons 18, 26, +226
Rochdale 18, 24, +195
Hunslet 18, 17, +13
Oldham 18, 15, +62
If the Dons lose, we can't catch N Wales. If we lose and Swinton beat Oldham, we can't catch Swinton. If we lose, we're likely to drop below Rochdale as they're likely to put a few past W Wales but Rochdale play Keighley the following week when we play London, so we could well jump back above them.
If we win both our last two, we might catch N Wales providing they lose to both Keighley and Swinton. We can only realistically catch Swinton if they lose to Oldham and lose to N Wales but if they lose to N Wales, we can't catch N Wales.
Basically, the only way we can finish second is if Oldham beat Swinton and other results go our way. We can finish third (behind Swinton) if N Wales lose to Keighley and Swinton and we overcome the present points diff between us and N Wales.
We're probably favourites to finish fourth.
We could finish fifth if we lose to Hunslet but a good win against London would probably still see us fourth unless Keighley clock off and lose away to Rochdale in their last match.
Final round fixtures:
Saturday 3rd September: N Wales v Swinton
Sunday 4th September: Dons v London; Rochdale v Keighley; Oldham v Hunslet; and Midlands v Cornwall
My best guess at where we'll finish:
1st: 0%
2nd: 2%
3rd: 24%
4th: 70%
5th: 4%
6th: 0%
