It is set in 2002 and 2003 with a background of "Work, family, old friends and rugby league". Among the chapter titles are "The Sermon on Mount Pleasant, The Good Yorkshireman, An evening in Bailiff Bridge, A day on the M62, A tale from Knowsley Road and E-Mails from Amsterdam.
