Is it still the case that changing your kickers or captain (without changing any of your 13 players) does not count towards your fifty changes during the season?

With Thursday night games I assume we have to have our team locked in on Thursday nights? The teams who play their games on Sunday wont announce their squads until the Friday, so on many occasions we will have to just hope the players we have in the team on a Thursday night are picked, instead of being able to see the squads before making changes.
