What a waste of space if you ask me, 5 goals out of 15 attempts.

That gives him a 1:5 ratio (one of the worst in SL), at £450k IMO definitely overpriced!!

His goal kicking has been really bad ever since he got that bad injury of terry "the thug" newton at the jjb few years back

I dont like him but when he's not playing the bully he's not a bad player.

As for Long if he's consistently bad why not let one of the youngsters take over? I mean look at Tyrer, scored tries and better kicking accuracy and you let him go....

There have been pointless Long bashing posts like this every season Long has been at the club. Yet looking back you can see what an amazing record Long has, and St Helens have with Long in the team. If it was up to half of the people on this board to make decisions, Long would have been sold about 5 years ago.

His goal kicking record is poor so far this season, but there are a lot of areas we are poor in right now. That is not to defend them, but all aspects will be worked on during training and we will improve each week.

He will either improve quickly, or somebody else will kick the goals. All of this will be over time, not after some snap-judgement based on 4 games.

These views are not nased on a snap judgement, in recent years his goal kicking has taken a bit of a landslide!! That somebody else should of been ste tyrer but typical of saints never game him a real opportunity, IMO. So I stand by my comments and views that for the job in which he is paid to do AND the position he is supposed to be playing in fantasy SL he is way overpriced and very poor.
