For any York fans going to the South Leeds Stadium on Sunday, it might be worth you looking in their club shop, particularly if you like reading books about Rugby League or are looking for a Mothers's Day present.
They have just taken delivery of six interesting books. "Rugby Football: The United Game" (a novel based on the idea what might have happened if the Northern clubs had been in the majority in 1895) "Braver Than All The Rest" (A mothers'fight to give her disabled son a better life in a West Yorkshire rugby league town) "Two Seasons" (set in 2002 against a background of work, family, old friends and rugby league) plus "Heading for the line" (a guide to the grounds of all the professional, semi professional and National Conference League clubs and also the NRL clubs) "Rugby's Berlin Wall" "Snuff out the Moon" (The history of floodlight rugby league starting in 1870) Also available from the publisher London League Publications at http://www.llpshop.co.uk (Look under fiction for the novels) |
