Re: rugby league manager on pc : Wed Apr 28, 2010 5:40 pm
Suppose Ive been quite lucky, managed to get through a season without any problems(including retraining a player).

Does anyone else seem to give away a ridiculous amount of penalties and have the most players sin binned?
Every team Ive been has always given away more penalties then everyone else and has double the amount of players sin binned even tho i have the best coaches to stop it and aren't using 1 in all in. Am always bottom of the fair play index

Gets pretty annoying when your winning comfortably then you keep giving away penalties and get a few quick tries put past you :BOOHOO:

Not had that happen since I remembered to sign coaches and stuff.

Just get a good defence coach and your defence won't leak tries like that. I had that happen against Wakefield, so I know how you feel  Probably better to set your fighting to 1in all in, just so after a fight you don't get that scared mentality thing.

Wigan SL after first season, had no problems with crashing or anything yet. Anyone know how the second tier of academies work? I just signed an international youngster, and he has turned up as National, but in green, so I'm assuming he will go up in class before I move him to the main squad?

Patch is out, so it doesn't crash when you retrain players now. There are some other fixes too.

Have all the best coaches for defence, discipline, composure ect. New patch has made it a lot better  . Sin bins need toning down quite from my experience, not from the brawls but had quite a few were a guy goes off from twating someone straight from kick off ;). Everything else is great

Yeah, since the patch my team has gone from about 4/5th to 14th in the fairplay league

Will try patch 2 later, got a few things to do before I can play, so hopefully that has toned it down.

Hah, think I have got this figured out.

Starting the 3rd season, Inglis, Hayne and Thurston now in the squad, 4 world class players churning their way through the Academy (admittedly 3 are Aussies) and another in the Alliance.

Just internationals to conquer next season I'm thinking 8)

I've started with Warrington Wizards on medium difficulty, got 3 players on loan with 40-50 attributes. I'm top of the league by 1 point after 11 games and I'm into the QF of the Challenge Cup after beating Salford 14-12 at home :)

I'm tempted to go for a lower team now, pretty much dominate SL as Wigan now, 9 WC players, 5 Int and a load more developing in the Academy.

Thats the biggest downside for me of this game, once the groundwork is done, you don't have much of a challenge any more.
