Wow. I felt so bad about that one. Seriously.
We started off with me hosting and the lag was atrocious. I could tell Sogspurs was getting the worse of it, after I went 18-0 up without even really trying. So we agreed to abandon that game and try again with Sogspurs hosting. It simply wasn't fair.
Second time around, then, and it was amazing stuff. Sogspurs got an early try and then kicked a drop, keeping me 7-0 down for ages, terriffic defence. I FINALLY managed to score and convert to get to 7-6, then a drop of my own to equalise.
THEN came the moment I thought we were going to have to settle for a draw. I'm in a great position, last tackle, and Sogspurs brilliantly causes a knock on as Sinfield goes for another drop. It was a desperate tackle, but he made it.
Then came the high tackle. Luckily in kicking distance, but still quite far out. Given the "high tackle" penalty is obviously given by a random number generator (Hey, it's THAT close to realism!), it was pure bad luck I think that that was given.
Think you beat me last time 17-10... So I'm very happy to scrape a win tonight. Well played though, hopefully we'll have to meet again at some point!
