Didn't the RFL relent over the overseas quota rules on players signed befor the 2008 season?
It was for any player signed before Feb 08 so anyone apart form Dobbo on renewal can if they so wished be classed as fed trained.

overseas quota is 5 and you need at least 8 homgrown players in the squad, so if he doesn't start shifting the balance in 2010 there's a big gap to bridge in 2011. How many overseas players would he be able to recruit anyway with the foreign players you've already got contracted for 2010?
So your right, there is a big gap to bridge, with only Dobbo on the quota, we still have 4 overseas quota spots to fill

I never mentioned recruiting any foreign players, after all we didn't for 2009. IIRC we've already got the 7 homegrown players in the squad that are required for 2010, so JM
does have a choice. Most professional clubs will be clued up on the rules and act accordingly don't you think?

At this moment in time i could not be happier! on paper we have had one of the worst set of injuries to key players in S.L, yet this years squad is so strong it covers. Look at Welham, IAnson Lovegrove and NEtherton, not many thought they would play as many games as they have.
Testerment to Justins selection and recruitement policies.

Mariano, Spaven, Esders and Watts - how many first team games gave they had between them this year?
Fozzard will have retired by 2011 and Walker,Cooke and Mills will be released at the end of 2010 if not before.
FC have a full British team (except Cusack) in their 17 tonight, as opposed to claiming one on paper.

Yet he's still younger than your latest Aussie recruit for the KC retirement home!
