Wakey are looking like 5th if they carry on how they are, that might change but its early days, 1 swallows does not a summer make an all that.
Next weeks game could be a real tight affair, HKR have a lot going for them and barring injuries, are the type of team who can click on the day and take the thing.
Wakey and HKR are a lot like each other, over recent seasons Wakey have played better more often but that counts for nothing on the day, HKR are well capable of causing trouble, couple that with a Wakey clunk instead of a click and that'll be that.

Not really mate come on, I'm not knocking HKR but I think they would have preferred the last two top 5 finishes we have had - I know what you're trying to say but there is modesty and then there is over doing it and its a little disrespectful to our players.

I suppose it depends how long you want to go back really since you were in the million pound game you’ve gone from strength to strength whereas we are the only club to have been in the middle 8s every season throw in a relegation and promotion plus a Wembley drubbing you have had 5 pretty consistent seasons and we havent

Fair point but you're only as good as your last game as they say so I suppose that equates to your last season in this case. How this season will end up who knows but the beauty of talking about previous season is that they are history and as such really can't be argued with.

Personally I'm happy you have injuries as that has made what looked a very tricky fixture slightly less so but only slightly - it will still take some winning imho.

The comma placed between other and over, is there for a reason.
Your bold highlight ignores it and thus alters the intended narrative of the post.

If HDM is to be believed, Lunt might be back for the Catalans game!

Of course, it doesn't state WHICH Catalans game, but here's hoping for just over a week's time.

In the mean time, if we manage to turn over Wakey it'll be a welcome surprise.

We, Wakefield, have proved over many seasons to have the ability to completely fluff our lines when it comes to games we are expected to win. You only have to go back to Round 1 when a very enthusiastic and well coached London side hammered us. I think if Hull KR and Wakey were at full strength then it would be an great contest, both sides have injuries, we are missing Ashurst ( dream team member ) , Randall ( our starting hooker ) and Huby ( a first choice influential prop ), England may or may not be available for selection . I think Wakey will go into Sundays game as favorites ; home advantage and your injury list. That said it would not surprise me if Wakey turn up expecting to win and get out enthused ., as I say we have that in us.

Both teams may have injuries but with Wakefield running a reserve team, it should give them the advantage bringing in replacements that are more match ready. I know rovers wanted to run a reserve team but just a couldn’t afford it. I guess you have to cut your cloth accordingly and all that...

Only Keegan Hirst was included in both the squad for their reserves game against Hull FC’s in mid-February and this week’s 19, and he was in their team against Leeds last week anyway. Therefore, I doubt it’ll be a key factor.

Looked at both squads, with the team we are putting out there are no excuses, if they play well enough they can win. Wakey have enough to win as well so all I hope is a good game & that it’s the rugby ( win or loose ) that we are talking about next week, not some stupid decision that a ref makes or doesn’t make. For me to close to call but put the advantage to the home side.

Not really the fact that we couldn’t afford it (as you well know ) just pretty pointless running one as Hull are running one and yet bring a 38 year old player out of retirement and Wakefield run one yet are sending players to Dewsbury to play so all in all the reserves are a big joke
