tbf it was a minority of about 10 who signed online petitions lol, I thought he wasn't the man for the job but was prepared to give him a chance as everybody derserves, any team sport is results driven and the coach is the first to go if they go t.ts up, I don't think hes a coaching genius but he seems to have got the players all singing of the same sheet and his general coaching seems to be improving as time goes on,
Yeah, the leeds fans love him and are desperate to keep him from hudge's outstretched arms. I could bang my head from now until the cows come home and I'd still be able to spot a cr4p coach better than you obviously can
I know opinions are subjective, Jake, but on his record with the Rhinos over the last 5 years, you cannot say McDermott is a crap coach. If success is judged on results alone, he has to be up there with the best coaches of the SL era. Last year his team were peerless in all comps.
However, I have a problem with McDermott. He is a soulless and miserable git who harbours grudges against certain players and is perceived to blow smoke up the rear ends of a select few of his players for much longer than he should be doing. On that basis alone, his judgement is flawed and questionable and he would not be a good fit at our " community" club of latter- day deities.

Fair comment but during those seasons he only once coached leeds to the top of SL and it took (at the time) unprecedented wins from 5th for them to pull it out of the bag a couple of years. My opinion is that was mainly down to the players, not the coach. There have been constant calls for him to go from a sizeable portion ofthe fans through most of his time at leeds. I even remember him being boo'd by his own supporters when his face appeared on the big screen during one televised game.

Like I say, poor coach IMO
I've had the misfortune of attending one of his 'masterclasses'. Awful.
so after all the conspiracy about new coach I saw a newspaper clipping from a mate on Facebook that states Jamie peacock let it slip over a dinner party the new coach is Steve mcmanama
I don;t think anyone ha ever said radford was the worst coach in the world and there was only one online petition started by someone who many think is a rovers fan. I'm still far from convinced about radford but him and tony have built a squad which has gone from bottom 2 to one which is challenging at the top of SL within a couple of years so it's hard to be critical. mcdermott, meanwhile, has taken the most successful and richest side in SL in the opposite direction in 9 months.
Now it may be purely a co-incidence that leeds' most successful period in their history finished when sinfield left them and maybe mcdermott really is a great coach but I doubt it.
Anyway, I'm praying he is your next coach
So is Radford a good coach or has he just got good players you do seem a bit clueless when Ellis doesn't play so is he your Sinfield

He wasn't coaching much when his most experienced players locked him out of the changing rooms at Widnes. I'd say Motu's recruitment added to the experience of some of the players + luck on the injury front is making Radford look good right now.
We have won games without Ellis ,the loss was nothing to do with Ellis not playing they looked off the pace from the start. It looks like you cannot accept the fact that we are doing well ,you cannot knock the players or Radford so now its luck we are doing well ..how sad is that. The difference is we did not recruit players with a history of injury (for a change) we started with a big squad not like Rovers who even your own fans said it was a risk .Hudgell cut costs and took risks its failed big time. Pearson has put money into the Club from top to bottom ,Hudgell and Smith have conned you and you fell for it ,all the spin and hype was just that and it carries on and on. Last season Hudgell said he would rather be in middle eights rather than struggle in the top eight with no chance of making top four,so why his he risking playing players week on week with injuries and having to be given injections just to get them out there or is that just a excuse for poor displays

Chomp chomp I'm not knocking Radford or the players and I couldn't care less if your doing well or not I don't support your team if you looked at previous posts on this subject you'd realise I was using it as an example to Jake regarding Brian Mac but don't let that stop you making stuff up
You have won games without Ellis. But the solidity of victories with him in the squad makes the Dullers a far better team. But to solely put your season down to luck wasn't what I was saying. So wind your neck in. I was saying it was a factor, whilst complimenting Motu tony on some good recruitment. But you read what you want to, As it seems a few of the FC 'faithful' are getting a little precious over their team. As for us, we are crap, and we've known it all year. But thanks for reiterating what we've all known all season.
