He's the guy who rang Humberside after a derby at Craven Park and claimed someone had contacted him to tell him a rovers fan had kicked an old lady after the match. I think he honestly believes he is a spokesperson for the club, ask any sensible FC fan and they will tell you he is an idiot.

Anyone know why rovers don't have the tv service? Mobile point are a sponsor of the club aren't they?

AGENTS RULE AND HETHERINGTON, MISSION 4 ACCOMPLISHED.

: Sat Apr 25, 2009 11:22 am
COOKEGATE: April-Nov 07 No review would be complete without the Paul Cooke saga, which started with a cross-city switch to Hull KR.
It transpired that, although Cooke had continued to play for FC, his contract had remained unsigned.
Outcome: An RFL tribunal found Cooke guilty of misconduct for approaching the Robins while under contract to FC. He was ruled out of the first six games of the 2008 season.
THACKRAYGATE: May-July 08Signed after his release from Leeds, Jamie Thackray played in FC's Challenge Cup wins over Rochdale and Widnes.
It was then discovered he had not been signed and registered in time for the Cup.
Outcome: Hull were fined £100,000 - of which £40,000 was suspended for 12 months - for breaking the RFL's operational rules.
They went on to lose the final to St Helens.
Chief executive James Rule admitted FC had made a mistake and shouldered the blame. The RFL altered its rules close-season to avoid another fiasco.

FRIDAYGATE: Nov 08An announcement of the 2009 fixture list heralded arguments as it coincided with Hull switching from playing home fixtures from Sunday to a Friday.
Disgruntled fans condemned the move's timing, given some had bought season tickets, and the lack of consultation.
Outcome: Rule insisted there had been no intention to mislead fans, despite the club's press release stating "Hull has taken this decision following a survey they carried out last season."
Rule said it wasn't a clipboard survey, the club had garnered feedback at "fans' interaction points." Attendances appear to suggest fans are happy.

CROCKERGATE: May 08 to presentFC's website trumpeted the signing of Michael Crocker, only to be taken offline due to "external attempts within the last 24 hours to attack the Hull FC website and servers."
Days later Crocker was unveiled, on a three-year deal, a vindication of Rule and chairwoman Kath Hetherington's trip to Australia.
Outcome: The adulation has turned to disappointment. Although Crocker had received his work permit after his signing, his first application for a visa failed in January, due to a previous conviction for affray. A second is mired in red tape.

REARDONGATE: April 09Hull FC help launch a domestic violence campaign with NHS Hull called Strength to Change and signed Stuart Reardon - awaiting sentencing after pleading guilty to assaulting his ex-wife.
Outcome: Reardon is released on medical grounds - having failed to recover from his Achilles tendon problem.
The announcement prompts another speedy bout of "technical difficulties" on hullfc.com.
It's just hours before Reardon is due in a Bradford court for sentencing.
It's also less than an hour after Rule and FC captain Lee Radford appear on local radio lauding the initial signing!

Me too :D

...& they're just some of the edited highlights. What about:

Briscoegate...he won't be coming to Rovers :D, or Dykesgate...who needs a medical?, or Dobsongate...we love Jimmy Rule :D, or Raynorgate...a fine role model, or Webstergate...money well spent, or Carvellgate...not as good as Sam Moa

...& it looks like Berrigangate might be looming on the horizon as well!

Happy days :D :D
