For reasons I won't bore you with other than to say I've worked the turnstiles and cashied at Hull FC, Rovers and Leeds to name a few, I know how attendances work and what they are and aren't allowed to announce and who is in attendance when the tickets/cash is being counted, but don't let people who know how it works get in the way of a bit of trolling.

Which would explain why some people felt there were more in the stadium than the announced attendance.

Partly due to health & safety, part of it down to shared gates. It would be silly to announce a higher attendance on a shared gate, we would have to pay out more than we needed to, but hey, let Zod have his moment

Every recorded attendance has a breakdown of all sectors so the attendance so different figures can be presented to different parties interested in those figures.

The published attendance to the sporting media does include the premier club members and to avoid this tit-for-tat I will email the SMC for verification.

I haven't had the pleasure to come across General Zod much during my time here on RLFans but I am looking forward to reading more of his posts in the future! They're scraping the barrel so much it's actually hilarious to read.

I have and he's already got back to me:-

"Dear General,

The premier passes are not counted onto attendances at all - you know like when the 2007 Good Friday derby attendance was announced as 23,000 - the maximum unreserved seating capacity for a 25,000 stadium.

So for instance on this day, like all others, the premier pass holders must have been sat on the roof or something because there were no seats for them. Consequently, know one really knows - unless they're part of what Stephen Hawkins calls "dark matter" and just disappear into a black hole.
