Do you ever have anything positive to say about the club

The yards the Hull players made after contact was very impressive in contrast to us on Friday

Definitely. He has our players playing for the shirt, we went down honourably today, taking the form team at home all the way with a banged up squad, injuries on the day and despite 3 sin binnings (I don’t have an issue with the sin bins as decisions, more that we managed to keep it so close despite them). I’ll enjoy being at Wembley as a neautral for the first time in a while.

Based on previous evidence, it’s likely for the best that he stays in the background.

With what’s happened he’s on a bit of a hiding to nothing.

Much as I was relieved to see Saints just about hold on, I do admire the way Hull play under Radford. Lot’s of energy, power and intent, overpowering weaker teams and knocking better teams off their stride. When they’re down on energy they turn out the odd poor performance, but on their day they’re very difficult to play.

Converting the west to the promised land

Re: Baffling team selection (Already) : Sun Jun 03, 2018 8:49 pm
As much as it pains me to say, Hull were excellent today and a tad unlucky not to win. But saying that Saints were awful in patches and Wilkin is a liability for them.
Radford seems to have them playing at 110% and I do feel a tad envious that he gets that from his team. Sheens protects the players way too much and an booty kicking wouldn’t go amiss after a bad performance personally, Radford doesn’t pull any punches.
Peacock isn’t liked by many at Rovers that I know, (fans that is). I can’t stand the bloke. But he is living off his reputation as a player. That’ll only take him so far.
Watershed season for him with us I feel, his failure at signing decent players in the near future might (hope) has his bags packed for him. After all does he really give a damn about rovers like Motu Tony did about F.C.

Watershed season for the club as a whole.

My guess is that the success Peacock enjoyed throughout his playing career meant that his ideas on what you need to do to get it weren’t often challenged in a profound way.

I suspect Radford learned more from being involved in several seasons of mediocrity at Hull than he did winning trophies with Peacock at Bradford. You learn from failure, whereas success will tend to reinforce your preconceptions.

So what we really need is someone who has failed a lot!

In all seriousness, that Sheens can draw on lessons learned coaching struggling teams, as well as winning Premierships and a World Cup, is a cause for hope, imo.

You may be right about the failure thing. Chester’s not done so bad after being abject with us.
