For all the emotion on display from people on Saturday who were clearly overwhelmed that they were finally going to see Rovers return to a major final, for the 2 whole generations of Rovers fans who weren't around until the early 90s, this is something I don't think many of us ever really saw coming.
I'm 27 now and the first season I remember watching Rovers was 1993. What felt particularly special for me was seeing all the faces that I've been seeing for the last 20 years finally able to understand all those feelings that we have been told about by parents and friends who were around in the 80s watching Rovers in cup finals.
For all the NL1 grand final meant to Rovers as a club and to the fans, nothing I've ever experienced as a Rovers fan comes close to how I felt at full time on Saturday. Still don't think it has properly sunk in that in less than 4 weeks I'll finally get to see Rovers walk out at Wembley in a major final, I get goosebumps thinking about it.

Think you've summed it up pretty well, my generation got into rugby league when we were a top side, my first season (when was 10) was 1979, so my first non final loss didn't come until '82 so I grew up thinking that was what it would always be like. Don't think anyone of us who went in '86 thought that we wouldn't be in a CC final for another 29 years!!
I remember back in around the early 2000 thinking that we would never get there again and had all but given up on the idea.
Stood in that stand on Saturday just after Shaun Lunt had gone over was probably the best feeling I've had at a game for a long long time. The GF was great but I was pretty anaesthetised by that point. This one was a stand back and soak up the moment, god knows what I'll be like if we win the thing!!!!
