According to reports in Australia, Dobson could be heading back to Canberra for next season if he can negotiate a release from Rovers. http://www.canberratimes.com.au/news/lo ... 15779.aspx? What's everyones thoughts on this? Who would we replace him with? Is it all just nonsense?

If Dobson does leave, maybe it shows that we should have gone in for Danny Brough

Interesting. I like the Aussie definition of 'coy'.
He'd need replacing like for like. It'd free up a quota spot, but I guess it'd have to be used on his replacement - no top British 7s are likely to be available. I'd much prefer him to stay, but if he wants away at least it is back home, rather than to a rival SL club.
The worrying thing is that a Hull fan is now almost certain to use the 'rats leaving a sinking ship?' line, and witless predictability isn't against the AUP.

The timings didn't fit, unfortunately. Excepting Brough, there isn't really anybody in SL who is the right type and quality of player to fill a Dobson shaped hole.

If dobson would have hung about at Canberra he'd have replaced carney.

I can see it happening tbh.

For hkr to find a 6 and a 7 from oz in the off season will be a big ask but not impossible.

Would be a big loss to Rovers, as other have said to find 2 top overseas halfbacks for next season would be hard and giving them time to gel etc.

I am not sure that Dobson is good enough for the NRL, cant blaming him for wanting to move back there.

Cronk and Finch, already Gelled and Melbourne need to off load a few, just need some cash and a the little black book of salary cap avoidance and we're well away.

Sounds like an agent trying to drum up buisness to be honest. Not spoken to Canberra, Rovers or the player in question.

Non story IMO.
