From general conversation with other clubs, the numbers quoted in the leagues are unlikely. I'd expect 3 divisions at best including the merit league style development league.

my worry is that by using the interim season as an assesment of what level a club should be at you will get false scorelines dependent on who is and who is not available during the summer months and also heavy scorelines that could put off new players.

I'm told that Bank Quay have arranged a player loaning system with St Maries for the interim period and the loans are to be reciprocated when summer comes around. Not sure how true it is or if there are any registration issues but that's what I'm told.

Nothing has been agreed by the board at Bank Quay with regard to loaning players to Widnes St Maries or any other winter based clubs, we want all of our players performing for us during the interim season as this will give our A team a true grading level for 2012, we expect that our 1st team will be based in Prem but is important for our A team players that they play at the correct level.

hey,
im trying to get into the amature game, and just trying to find out a few facts, im a little confused,
does the amature game play in summer now like the sl and the championships?
or is it still a winter game?
do players come and go thoughout the season, are you tied to one team for a season?
i realise they are porb really really daft questions
ive never really played amature level as an adult, last time i player was at uni - 6 years ago,

Thanks for any help

still a North West amateur competition which will run from September of March/April

will be a new summer comp starting March which will run to November - many of the sides entering that are also playing a transitional season from September to November this winter only.

Clubs are having to pick which set up to be in.

To play for a club you need to be registered for insurance reasons. To then chnage clubs, you need to get a transfer signed by the club you're leaving, teh one you're joining, and yourself. Most clubs are pretty happy to do this but if you owe monies etc. then be prepared for the one you are at to say no.

ps. feel free to come down to Bury
