Chester are looking forward to travelling to Newton at weekend, certainly will be a challenge for us in our first season to face an established side, escpecially on teh back of their good win at weekend.

Well hopeful of the fixtures going ahead this week and boy do I need it!

Here are my predictions for Division 6 any thoughts?

Ashton Bears A v Rochdale Cobras
Think Ashton at homen will be too strong for the Rochdale second string

Blackpool v Folly Lane
Close game but can see Folly lane edging it

Chester v Widnes West Bank
With Widnes first team playing in the Lancashire cup final on friday I am hoping for a few hangovers in the Widnes team, Plus last time Widnes won by 2 points and we are seeking revenge!

Culceth v Blackbrook
Only one winner in this game for me!

Halton Simms Cross v Accrington
I can see Simmies sneaking this one although should be a good game

Leigh east v Fitton Hill
Can see a good start to the year for Fitton hill in this game

Little Hulton v Irlam Hornets
Can't call could be a draw

Both daz and ste woods,legger,jimmy forshaw,lamby,Baz Mcgilvary add on mike woods and dave bates even though they"ve been there awhile,lockers went back pilks kyles bethells,gone to back to bold and and tommo,hully and caggys gone to ruskin.Plus a load have retired and no under 18s for two season.
But touch wood turned the corner now.

mike woods came from brook u18s in 96/97 mcgilvary an forshaw this season, an legger an daz woods start of season 08/09 with ste woods half way through that season, lamby at start of the season your on about, so only 1 stated player left you the season you state your 2nds folded.

i wouldnt call that half your 1st team leaving for thatto!

The 2nd team gradually declined over a two seasons going places with minimal a team and reallying on quite a few players over fortys to keep us going and yes it maybe not exactly half a team but losing the quality of them players would cripple any 1st team and with losing woodsy etc tooly and budgy.hardman all jacked in aswell so as with all 2nd teams they are just a feeder for your 1st team when the players are needed and most of the players who had to step up are still playing first team now.
Sorry if you have took offence over my post mentioning thatto, but with alot of players joining you and retirement Brook went into a decline. I was just explaining to another team why we folded and got put in division 6 as at the start of the year, we wouldnt have had a 2nd team luckily for moss bank folding and a few players coming back, lucky for you have 3 teams which we had 5 years ago ,it shows you how quick you can a team can go down hill.
I know when woodsy left as he was my teammate thanks for reminding me how old i am.lol

Ashton Bears 'A' Vs Rochdale Cobras 'A' - Ashton All the way, Playing good rugby pushing for a top 2 finish.
Blackpool Scorpions 'A' Vs Folly Lane 'A' - Got to go With Folly. Got Some Big Fellas. Looking good this Year.
Chester Vs Widnes West Bank 'A' - I can see Widnes racking up the points here. see them as possible runners up this Yr.
Culcheth Vs Blackbrook 'A' - Blackbrook All they way. got to be a good team stop them from becoming champions this Yr.
