Just had an email to say Golborne A have been removed and their results wiped, which is brilliant news for us considering we're the only team That has been beaten by them!

They shouldn't have been in there in the first place, a little embarrasing!



Can't see many games beatin the weather if this lot keeps up....word had it Leylands is a pretty rough track to start off with, I've never played there personally.



Stand out fixture this week has gotta be the pilks v irlam game....we could do with a pilks win!

Agree with the Golborne stuff but you have to say the league is at fault for not sorting the problem out sooner rather than leaving it this long.



Hopefully games will go ahead we've got to go to Hindpool and it costs enough to go up there so hopefully we won't have the problem of cancelling the coach and getting shafted for that, but we're all at the mercy of the weather so we'll see.



As for the Leyland pitch, it had about 3/4 big pools of standing water and that was a couple of weeks ago when the weather wasn't to bad, so I'd hate to see it now!!!!

I think we might be doomed then!....our seconds have a game this week, so at least i'll be able to have a look at them...fingers crosed though they can get it on! Been lucky upto now, with no postponements.

I know what you mean but tbh we had 9 players. We sometimes suffer due to 1st team requirements as we did on sat. why would we "poop it" when we have beaten you in 2 of the 3 fixtures we have had with you over the last few years??

Leyland's pitches were spiked last week and were in great nick at the weekend. Bit soft on the top inch but firm underneath. Just the small pond on the 40 metre line remained!

No one want games called off but big pat on backs to Hindpool for giving us plenty of notice that the game couldn't go ahead.

Seems I been a bit premature calling it off. it has hardly rained since I made the call and pitch is playable now. Should have had more faith in the new drains we had put in. Pretty disappointed now cos we had a full squad out for the first time this season.

Just found this thread and have to say that the ref for the Ulv v SV game was the worst referee I have ever seen at ANY level.



It is a good job the 2 sides have a mutual respect for each other and that the game was played in the best of spirits. Somebody would have seriously been hurt......and someone will definatley be seriously hurt if he officiates another game. Spoilt the game and allowed playersmouthing in his ear to influence his decisions...Poor !

Higginshaw 16-26 langworthy reds, another good win for us on a difficult pitch and against a big pack, the hill before and after the game wasn't good though!! Hard place to go is higginshaw!! Good effort by all our lads, bring on buttonwood bridge next week!!!

Correct. South Ribble Council called off the pitches early yesterday. They were fine this morning.

to be honest mate think if the call had to be made on Friday then alot more teams in all Divisions would have been off with the rain it put down!!!!!had a look at ours Sat afternoon and we could off probably let our 2nds play on it...

Id just like to thank the Pilks fellas who I was in communicado with at around 11am giving me directions so I could take the game in.....one man and his dog when I got there, Games off son!...nice one!

Both Irlam 1st and 2nd team games postponed due to road accident in Irlam which covered both sides of the road so most of the two teams unable to get out of Irlam, though some were on the way to Pilks when it got phoned through the game was off. Someone has died from the accident as far as I am aware, there was tailbacks for hours by all accounts in and around Irlam area, not been a great week for the area

Accident on the Barton stretch at mid day, I understand a motor cyclist died. It meant that the only route out of the town was by travelling east towards Warrington hence complete gridlock in the area.

wel hello there my division 3 chums, its been a couple of weeks since my last words of wisdom.



i see SpringView and Irlams dominance has continued, with big wins over pilks and higginshaw.



i was a little dissapointed not to see higgys pit there wits against prem opposition...what happened? I gather sense has been seen with golborne being removed, which has effected the league table somewhat?



some interesting fixtures this weekend weather permitting, I think the stand out fixture is the Burtonwood v Langworthy fixture, I think Burtonwood will continue there improved form and get the win there. Irlam and Leyland should be a good game, but can only see one winner there in the form of the hornets. Springs face tough tough opposition in the form of Heysham who appear to be one of the form teams in 'other league' in 3, this will be hard fought no doubt, i think Springs home advntage and outstanding points against bracket might see them edge this one. I think the Ulverston v Pilks game is too close to call, but I will go with Ulverston. And I think Hinpools poor away form will see Haresfinch have too much for them.



All in all should be interesting, but sadly I cannot see many fixtures beating the weather goods this week and for the next few weeks to be fair. These are the times when people should have a long hard think about summer rugby.
