Mancunians have been confirmed as withdrawing from the league this morning. They put themselves in a false position 'winning' the regional conference last year as they had 2 clubs forced out of the play offs that they hadn't beaten in the regular season by whining to the league management to enforce a by-law that is usually disregarded. I would very rarely wish to see an amateur club struggle in this way but on this occasion I'm afraid they and their self-agrandising chairman have received everything that was due to them.

Why sit on the fence? Everyone saw what went on last season, it was totally against the spirit in which the conference is run. Did you think it would foster goodwill?

The ongoing problem with the conference seems to be the willingness of the rfl to accept any club that applies. As a result there are regular forfeited games and even clubs hiding behind 'development' status when there are well organised leagues for development clubs underneath the conference structure. There have been more games played in the ML than both NW conference leagues put together this year and games of a good standard too. It wouldn't have taken weeks of research to figure Bamber Bridge, for example, would be in a better position to complete fixtures than East Lancs.

I agree with what your saying, was referring to your comments about the chairman.

He just rubs people up the wrong way pal, probably not reflective of everyone else at the club but as he effectively represents them that's the image portrayed.

I don't agree with most of this, but I particularly take issue with this so called 'false' position. Mancunians RL in 2010 has over 70 players training over the season, fielded a team for all our RLC Regional games and posted some good results. Let's put to one side the issue of the league rules on play-off qualification being enforced that we clearly won't agree on. Based on 2010, we clearly deserved to be promoted to the Prem.

As it turns out, 2011 in the RLC has been pretty much a disaster as results and our withdrawal from the league attest. There are reasons for this but we are not blaming anyone else and we do not wish ill of any other clubs. All we want is to get a game on every Saturday like everyone else.
