NWC CHALLENGE CUP : Mon Mar 07, 2011 10:20 am
Clock face vs woolston, woolston by 6, if woolston don't get stuck in a forwards battle hay should have to much skill for clock.
Orrell st James vs irlam, irlam by 20, we play the winners at west bank so hope irlam win,
Bold vs Leigh miners, leigh by 18
Dalton vs hindpool, Dalton by 8, will be a tight derby but think Dalton will be to quick.
Haresfinch vs Leigh east, east by 20, 2 divisions is a big gap can't see finch winning.
Oldham st annes vs ince rose bridge, oldham by 26. Oldham will be to strong for the young rose bridge team.
Ulverston vs haydock, haydock by 2, home advantage will keep it close but haydock will just be good enough.
Spring view vs HFH, spring view by 10, HFH have some good youngsters but the view is a intimidating place so HFH experienced forward will have to put a shift in to get something out of this tough trip.

Predictions anyone????

Woolston by 2
Irlam by 18 (OSJ) have no pitch
Bold by 6
Dalton by 26
East by 18
Rose Bridge by 18
Haydock by 24
HFH by 6 - Will be close, but I think there's plenty more intimdating places than SV, plus we lost 2 key players to injury last week still think we have just enough to go through.

Wasn't aware Irlam play West Bank away if we beat OSJ... might have to throw it then

On a more serious note should we get through the OSJ game it would be a good test to see how far we are away from what I would call a top Premier Division side playing in Div 2, look forward to it if we get the win on the weekend

Just had weekly text from the coach, indeed we play you guys if we beat OSJ, toughest draw we could have had, you lot are the favourites for it and with good reason

Favourites means nothing, we should win but you men have nothing to lose, it will be a good game but I hope irlamhornets2010 introduces himself, because he was saying his team would beat anyone, well nows his chance to do it,

Division 3 thread page 37, irlamhornets2010 says "bring on any team".

Agreed, should be a good game and we have nothing to lose. We have to just look at putting in a good performance and see how far that takes us if we can get through OSJ, who i believe have been putting sides out again. As i have said before, West Bank have been very impressive and some of our lads who went to the final v Bank Quay said how good a side you were so we have to put in a top performance

Woolston by anything - should be a good test for us. As coley stated before (NWC2 thread) we played Bank Quay at the start of the season and had a shocker but we reckon that we will give any NWC team a good run, certainly the way we are playing at the moment.

I agree we found out that division 2 is just as quick as division 1, it would send a statement for those division 1 teams if the top 2 teams in div 2 beat the top of division 1
