I think Wakey are a top example of a club that does NOT have the large crowds, does NOT have the unique location, does NOT have the venue and doesn't have the home-grown players either.

What they do have is a top coach who has grabbed a bunch of lesser valued players and turned it into a winning formula. I don't see Wakey being dropped for Widnes or any other Championship club atm, it would be a direct trade for essentially an identical club elsewhere - but one that would not do as well in the league.

I know Rosenfield reckons that Wakey are a total waste of space, but I completely disagree, they are a definate SL. I think the only worry they should have is what would happen if they lose Kear.

We have quite a few actualy more so than previous years gone by.

Fair point, well made. Now, how many of them are good as opposed to "squad" quality. Snitch obviously, who else?

If that were true, and the city as a whole was happy then you should probably be getting more than 4k in your ground

We did.

Its our lowest crowd for over 2 years - we are disspointed with the attendance but happy with the result.

It is traditionally our lowest crowd of the season.

Worry about your own clubs and we will concentrate on ours.

Blaymire, Ferguson, Pitts, Snitch and Brough
Davey, Blake & Southerwood are probably 2 years away from becoming regulars
Murphy has always looked a very good prospect when he plays although we are blessed with wingers at the miute
