I think Wakey are a top example of a club that does NOT have the large crowds, does NOT have the unique location, does NOT have the venue and doesn't have the home-grown players either.
What they do have is a top coach who has grabbed a bunch of lesser valued players and turned it into a winning formula. I don't see Wakey being dropped for Widnes or any other Championship club atm, it would be a direct trade for essentially an identical club elsewhere - but one that would not do as well in the league.
I know Rosenfield reckons that Wakey are a total waste of space, but I completely disagree, they are a definate SL. I think the only worry they should have is what would happen if they lose Kear.
