It was intimated on saturday that the injury wasn't as bad as first feared and that it could be a matter of weeks rather than months. Probably inaccurate in any case.

Ryles' potential season absence could be the reason the club is pursuing the Bird. If Ryles is out for the season the club could deregister him and still keep keep under the foreign player limit with the Bird.
