The Likes of Mark Wool, Lloyd White, Gil Dudson,Elliot Kear and many
more players all have the potential to step up and beocme professional SL players given the right chances .

if we didnt have such a talented and enthusiastic youth set up down here, that has already won two titles in two seasons against well established teams then I would be far less confident about the future and sustainability of the Cru and Wales RL.

Many of these players hadnt played a game of league before this season.

SOUTH WALES IS A RUGBY STRONGHOLD not just Union, the league element of that will soon be realised I have no doubt.

Seriously, though, there's no point if no-one wants to watch it.

What was the gate against Wakefield?

We will have to see where Celtic are at the end of the first 3 SL years.

The squad they have now is obviously not strong enough and needs major strengthening to become competitive.

The lack of any home wins up to now will not exactly get the locals turning up to witness the game for the first time.

It will be a major achievement this season to keep hold of the fans that are turning up now.

Some might look at this as being harsh but I think it's fair. When are the Rugby League going to stop persisting with this fantasy expansion. If it hasn't worked by now, it never will! I'm all for reaching out to a wider audience with our game but not at the expense of historical clubs in the homelands.

Our sqaud is fine they just need a kick up the back side.
And more fans behind them. When we embarrassed the Saints (what a day!!!)
it was a club record attendance of 6527 or something like that. Same with Hull FC.

I think the crusaders are here to stay, they get poor crowds as it's their first year and lose every week, this will all change given time. Eventually they'll be a strong side when the welsh kids come through, there is lots of natural talent down there.

Well, at least you will have something to tell your grandchildren.

We just did that to Gateshead Thunder as well. Helped them achieve a club record attendance. We're good, we are. :D

I'm not sure your squad is fine, to be honest. You may need some younger blokes in there next season. However, you're right in that they definitely do need a kick up the backside. They have been too close to winning and too competitive at the outset of the season not to be capable of more than they are showing at present. They have probably lost motivation due to their inability to win at home, which is crucial and should be Dixon's sole aim just now IMO. He needs to get them winning at home so that fans will creep out of the woodwork again.

But it may be that you will have to get Smith back in action before that happens as he seems to have a positive effect on the team, would I be right? Damn shame he's been so injured. Although he broke his arm last season, he didn't seem so injury prone at Saints. Must be that he's taking bigger hits or his tackling technique isn't quite right yet.

I think we need to keep the faith, both fans and players alike. Matty Smith on the field means the Crusaders are a better team all round.
