So 2 years to get onto a positive movement
So surely next year has to be a good year? If Celtic have a rubbish season in 2010, the 2011 season starts in mid February, it would only give 2 months to go from poor to competitive. Would be one hell of a gamble to deliberately reduce spending next year in order to spend more in 2011.
If crowds are down next year then that wouldnt look good at all in the licence application. The only thing that could happen is that if performances and crowds are poor in 2010 but great in 2011, even though the licence application would have already gone in, the RFL might still take that into consideration.
Alternatively you could just go all out next year to build on what you have started and if you have a good year and crowds are up, that might already be enough to earn another licence regardless of what happens in 2011. In terms of championship clubs who want to go into SL, we're only concerned what happends this year and next - 2011 is certainly too late for us to earn any brownie points.
