You are clueless. Smith finished bottom and was relegated. then had a team funded by Davy with the likes of steve Mac/ Thorman/ Gene/ Turner/ St Hilaire/ Reilly.
And what did Sharp do with a team funded by Davy, after a few years of consolidation and without the threat of relegation? Finish 10th.

The suggestion that Smith created a good academy system at the giants is the most laughable comment of the lot. You are kidding. he had no interest in the scholarship / 18s etc. None.
No thats why theres no-one coming through the system now is there?
I must have imagined those young lads coming through the Hudds system and playing for the 1st team this year

You obviously know FA about the Giants so stop making an ar5e of yourself.
You obviously know FA about RL if you think Jon Sharp is a good head coach

I do not have to re write history to highlight Sharp's weaknesses.
True, nobody has to rewrite history to highlight Sharp's weaknesses, they're plain for all to see.

Sharp was good at taking avaerage players, getting them reasonably fit and devising a game plan that got the most out of them.
Feck me, Christ I could take average players, get them fit and tell them to do 5 drives and kick

A very structured approach. he struggles with more talented and spontaneous players, ones with minds of their own (thus Drew leaving the club early). To be a top coach you need to be able to manage these players.
Exactly, which is what makes him a rubbish head coach along with the fact he doesnt have the personality or the mindset for being a head coach.
Assistant yes, head coach no.
and obviously some SL clubs have seen those same failings since he was sidelined at Hull and cant even get a better job than assistant at the SL's bottom club
