SOMEBODY SAID that it couldn’t be done But he with a chuckle replied That “maybe it couldn’t,” but he would be one Who wouldn’t say so till he’d tried. So he buckled right in with the trace of a grin On his face. If he worried he hid it. He started to sing as he tackled the thing That couldn’t be done, and he did it!
We'll see how good he is now after years of having nice well off teams. Personally I think they've signed well. A couple of the players no one's heard of are good young aussies rather than over the hill types.
Their biggest issue will be the underprepared start, very unprepared
That's 'an' issue! Poor prep, inadequate familiarisation, an 'ordinary' looking squad - if the expected tonkings happen early on, the crowds will hardly flock to support the cause. The away fans will drop the fixture as NOT being one of their priorities! e.g. some Wakey fans on a restricted budget (I know loads!!) may have to pick and choose which away games they go to. With the crusaders perhaps being looked upon as a foregone conclusion (again, it is by many I know, not all - but by most), then they may prioritize a trip to Leeds, Cas, Northern, Wigan etc than the expense of a journey to Wrexham to see a nowt game!!!! - and believe me, that's how some of the people I know who watch SL are now regarding the crusaders fixture!!
Some might look at this as being harsh but I think it's fair. When are the Rugby League going to stop persisting with this fantasy expansion. If it hasn't worked by now, it never will! I'm all for reaching out to a wider audience with our game but not at the expense of historical clubs in the homelands.

Bobbie Goulding, can you hear me? Your British lads (Barrett, Richards, Vaealiki, Leuluai etc etc etc) took one hell of a beating.

Well ok, so if we apply your logic, this means that you can never ever give your opinion of who you think is a good rugby league player, because you support widnes and therefore wouldnt know a good rugby league player if he smacked you in the face with a 3 eyed fish

As I said, that's "IF" the expected happens!
I totally agree with this post.I would not travel to see a boring one sided game. They will come bottom of the league, and to be honest i do not agree with celtic getting a franchise place.
