jc, fair enough mate, I take your point. I think I was just smarting because the season started with the WC and I was not watching RL like I should have been...............
Wrexham goon, I think you've hit the nail on the head there. It's mostly about mileage. I was not overly happy about the Newport move, but felt I couldn't really complain about 30 miles so went to RP and despite all the knackers about the UKBA six and the subsequent stuffing we took, I was raw from the singing (I was stood near Crucrucru for much of it - even though now we are in opposition in our views) in support of our beleaguered club. It had been a hard season on AND off the field, but there was a stubborn unity amongst the fans. 30 miles was nothing. Newport was our new home (for 2 years until we returned to a new stadiun in Bridgend Turner assured us).
Then we were flogged off to Moss and the remnants of the team were spirited off 150 miles away.
I CAN'T do a 300 mile journey every 2 weeks. Unlike many of the childless supporters, the retired supporters or the spoiled brats of well off parents (Hill), I have neither the time nor the money. Well I have the money, but other things that the family enjoy would suffer instead.
HOWEVER WG, I could hypocritically justify accepting all the other shiit, if the club were CLOSER.
So yes, in short, it's all about the mileage.
