Colyn Vs Max : Sun Apr 19, 2009 10:02 am
Since its Warriors vs Crusaders today and both mascots are armed, any chance of a gladatorial battle on the sidelines? Assuming Colyn is anywhere to be seen.

hyma biggun who sticks up for a little un

colyn : Sun Apr 19, 2009 12:36 pm
I know from the web site that colyn has a meaning in Welsh but what a ridiculous name. Most fans are going to look at it and have a bloody good laugh. After the amount of time it took them to come up with the name, I think it says a lot about some people at the club. COLYN! THE CRUSADER!!!

You might as well have had a tart in one of those pointy hats.

Pie eater,

I suggest you read your history again. You clearly have no idea of ENGLISH history.

Salahaddin and Richard (or greatx45 UNCLE Richard as I call him) never ever actually met in battle.

The Crusaders took most of where they attacked (and were quite brutal about it), but Uncle Rich chose not to attack Jerusalem. Salahaddin was not inside either.

.......

But back to the rugby league. THESE Crusaders are not THOSE Crusaders.

Our "Crusade" is nothing to do with religion.
We haven't beaten anyone in SL yet.
The Christian Crusades were many hundred years ago.
We are not English.
Rugby League is not warfare.

Other than that, well done on the spelling.

Geez and you wonder why no-one wants to talk to you.

Pedantic or what ?

Oh yes, by the way, I dont recall mentioning Richard.

Enjoy talking to yourself from now on.

Does not play well with others.... Sorry

Pie eater.

Pedantic? YOU mentioned Salahaddin. Uncle Richard was his opponent. Kind of relevant to your argument n'est ce pas?

I'm sorry If I responded to your "witty" put down and I'm sorry if you didn't have the stones to respond in kind. But hey, ho! You don't have to talk to me if you're not up to it. I'm sure I'll get by.

Celt,

Lets go back to the beginning here.

Right, firstly, our mutual friend Firefly posted a message on the Wigan board something along the lines of ' does anyone want to talk about todays game '... so I responded.

Then I came on here and made a jokey post that was the first thing that came into my head about crusaders.... I even put a  at the end of it. Thought to myself, I havent spoken to any Crusaders fans on the forum before, why not give it a go.

So, our mutual friend, responded to that in a most high handed manner, firstly criticising my knowledge of history, then giving me a lecture about it, then having a go at my spelling !

So I reply about him being a tad unfriendly and he has another lecture over it, even posting in French for heavens sake

Absolutely pathetic.

How to win friends and influence people, I think not. If you are trying to win die hards in the heartlands over, fans like that arent going to do it.
