Qualifiers Game 6 - Hull KR Home : Mon Sep 14, 2015 9:02 am
For our Friday Night Delight we welcome LCC Finalists and Super League club Hull Kr to Bramall Lane with a 7.45pm k.o.

In his first full season as head coach Chris Chester has not only taken his side to Wembley, but managed to mould a successful side extremely quickly given the number of new signings made to start the 2015 campaign.13 New Signings

( With a modicum of modesty and fantastic foretelling I am able to inform you that Mark Aston will do better than this in 2016 - should Sheffield Eagles be making 13 signings )

I look forward to Dan adding his preview to this thread

A special well done to Kieran Dixon who has demonstrated amazing desire and determination, with huge mental strength, after trying too hard in a recent game and a small number in the rugby league family attempting to crush his spirit. He has received great backing from his coaching staff and teammates.Well done to him,and them.

Referee for this one is - C Kendall

He was the referee when we played at The Summer Bash and lost v London.

At The Shay when we lost to Halifax.

At The Hive when we won at London - so we can hope for 2 wins on the bounce! :)

Hi Rover, there's a pub on the corner of Bramall Lane and John Street called the Cricketers. That's the nearest to the turnstiles. Depending on which way you're coming from, there's the Sheffield Tap at Sheffield Train Station which is certainly worth a visit. If you're coming by car there are quite a few bars on London Road which is just a few minutes from the ground. The Beer Engine on Cemetery Road is a good little place too.

I recommend the Beer Engine just of the bottom of london road with the junction of Cemetary Road very close the the ring road the pub is behind the chinese firework shop . The pub has recently reopened it is smart and modern and has an excellent range of real ales and craft kegs
it is only a 5 minute walk to the john street stand where i presume every body will be sitting

Squads for Friday Night Under The Lights named as -

Sheffield Eagles Squad

Togagae, Turner, Yere, Smeaton, Worrincy, Brambani, Aston, Battye, Carlile, M. Stringer, Knowles, Straughier, Taulapapa, Walker, Petersen, Davies, Davey, Tonks, Scott.

Hull Kingston Rovers Squad

Blair, Boudebza, Burke, Cockayne, Cox, Dixon, Donaldson, Green, Larroyer, Lawler, Mantellato, Marsh, Ollett, Puletua, Salter, Sio, Tilse, Walker, Welham

I would enjoy watching us preventing KR scoring a try from dummy/acting half. :thumb:
Plus the small matter of seeing us become only the second Championship side to defeat a Super League club.
Big effort needed from players and supporters...

Write for a few rugby league websites, mainly about the Kingstone Press Championship.
Usually found in Sunderland, sometimes in Sheffield.

Dave Petersen is this Friday's programme cover star. He had a lot of nice things to say about Hull KR which is rather unsurprising obviously. Preview will be uploaded tomorrow.

Impressive Danny, especially during Freshers week! I hope the players win for you - whichever way your prediction goes.

I hope they are looking after you up there, and you really enjoy the whole experience.

Don't imbibe too much of the strong stuff.
