I have immense respect for my team, im merely taking into account that not ten years ago we had no club whatsoever and to be in the top six on NL1 is a tribute to the hard work put in by all. Im just a realist and think a title push is beyond us for a couple of years.

To be honest our progress hit home when we won at your place last year, no-one (not even us) saw that coming.

Back to Bald-Royd, i dont see why you are spending money (which i doubt you have a lot of) on a player who is at the end of his career and i doubt is better than your current half backs.?

We don't - that's the problem.

I'm not actually sure what's going on behind the scenes lately. Holroyd asked Fax to take him back. I doubt whether he'll get much game time to be honest.

I always see a win for Sheffield against us. Like Barrow and Whitehaven, you seem to be our bogey team. I'm surprised at the inconsistency you've shown this season though, esp when you started off so strong.

It has been a strange one, i thought a top three place was gettable but Leigh (who shouldnt be in this division) and Fev have upped their games a lot and we fell away come the league season. I think we burned out a bit after the NRC and it took a while to recover. Losing Woodcock, Thackeray, and Rowe to injury early on didnt help. Top six now this season is a must.

Rumour has it he didn't stay for the post match meal because he wanted to get home for an early night to make sure he was up to beat the queue at the post office in the morning to collect his pension.
