Not sure i totally agree the top 8 of the superleague had got a bye so we cant really compare with previous years results yes leigh won at home to salford i would not call that a shock i forgot to look at the odds but you could agree that leigh should be favs in that game all the rest (Sheffield Halifax Bradford) lost by 20 points and yes we all played well and were competitive for long periods but we all lost by 20pts !!

Would be great for Patch to be back in the side, another outlet of creativity for ourselves. Rightful praise in the article for Ben Musolino, who I thought was outstanding against Hull FC. Hopefully Knozza will be fit for the match, a big miss for us whenever he's not playing.

Really looking forward to this game. The Halifax head coach has a fantastic pedigree and must be well respected in the game with his development at Warrington, under Tony Smith, and his job in charge of England Academy. Story He seems to have got off to a good start. He has a good squad...so looking forward to a real challenge for the Sheffield Eagles.

No Walker in the 19 man squad which seems to be a sensible decision, especially if he isn't 100% and with Bradford around the corner (glad Tonka's suspension is up in time for that one!).
Agree with AC about Marshall. Had the England Academy playing some really good stuff before he left that role, now filled by Andy Kelly (http://www.therfl.co.uk/news/article/31 ... -new-coach). I attended the Fax-Giants pre-season match earlier on this year and was very impressed by Mitch Cahalane, now a usual starter alongside Luke Ambler at prop. Looking forward to seeing how their Aussie prop goes against our Aussie prop (Steve Thorpe!)
