!966 Cup semi final at Swinton - some old St Helens biddy took exception to a Dewsbury player smacking a Saints player (who was actually her "lodger" ) and ran on to the field and set about him with her umbrella.

She got prosecuted. She'd done it before, apparently.

Did you lads not do history at school ?

I once went to a Widnes v Warrington game at Naughton Park circa 1988, when a fan got punched and knocked out by Des Drummond. The fan said something to upset him & bang
