Yes, no RFL rule was broken. Just the law of the land.

There was some unlawful activity at the final recently - none of which breached RFL rules. A real comfort to the victims, no doubt.

Back off - just know when you're in the wrong and be more humble.

RFL rules aren't the only laws we live by.

Get a grip J20, I do sometimes agree with some of your comments, but you miss the point completely.

Halifax was not in the wrong. The agreement was between the player and Sheffield. Halifax even checked with the RFL, who confirmed that it was okay to play him.

Aston played Barlow to play against Sheffield in the nines competition, which strangely enough was in the 2010 season, but spit his dummy out of the pram when he played in the play offs, saying that he can't play against them in the 2010 season.

I think that Halifax did nothing wrong and to avoid any more negative publicity have paid for them to go away.

I have been following the threads about the ‘Barlow affair’ on both sites and am amazed at the puerile comments coming from a few posters about not visiting Sheffield so they lose gate money. I would like to point out to these people that in 2006 Halifax were very close to liquidation and Rugby League supporters nationwide helped out by visiting Fax for their home games. I amongst other Sheffield Eagles supporters did this more than once, so to read these comments makes me very angry, but will not deter me from supporting my own club when they play in Halifax next season. Grow up and get on with watching and supporting Rugby League.

Mark Aston is a fool and not a great coach. Might have been a good kicker in his time thats about it. HE was crying like a baby.

Halifax didnt break any rules, however what I found shameful was on sky after game when he started crying which was sad to see. Should have admitted got beaten by better team.

Anyway, good luck to sheffield next year.
