It is then, full stop. Can't be relying on these players, the whole system is ludicrous, if I had my way we wouldn't sign one dual reg player next season. Loans - fine, otherwise stick with the young lads, at least we know they will be available and will actually want to pull on the jersey.

Agreed. Dual-Reg is a good idea, in theory. But it doesn't work in practice. Another stupid RFL idea that needs scrapping. Just like Franchising, Crusaders, Touch Judges, Northern Rail Cup etc.

The idea of fringe SL players getting match experience at NL1 level is the good idea, i.e. Loans like ESO said. The problem is not knowing until the day before the game if you have that player or not, you cant organise a team/game plan around that.
The problem with Rugby is there always wanting to change somthing,Whether it be the league size, competitions, dual rags,They never stick with an idea long enough,For instance what was wrong with the old loan system,Its easy and the teams no where they stand,Why have a bonus point,As it added anything to the competition really? Why change the points system,2 points for a draw? Constantly changing how many go up and how many come down,Chagning the format of the rail cup nearly every year,In Football there is consistency and it works,Sometimes the rfl change things just for the sake of it when theres no need,None of the changes they have made have made the competitions significally any better.

Change is good if it improves the way things are. Some of the recent changes have not.
Must admit after watching the highlights on Eagles TV,The 1st Hunslet try if you pause it when he kicks it,The bloke is miles offside,The Hanson 2nd try looked like a double movement,His first try was inconclusive whether he grounded it or not,Same for Misi and Paul March,So if the video ref was there,A try each would have been disalowed,The Hunslet 1st try would definatly have been. The others probably benefit of the doubt.
