I think he has shown glimpses of what he is capable of in this tournament but on the whole he hasn't been spectacular. I'd like to see him given a go alongside Widdop in the future with Sinfield being pushed out to 13.
And on Tomkins, the Aussies just did a very good job on him. Fair play to them.
What worries me a little is that his on days may be with Castleford and not England. (Rather like the cricketer Graeme Hick who was superb for Worcestershire but nearly always struggled when playing for England.
Yes the Aussies did a fine job on Sam Tomkins, peppering him with high kicks under pressure but surely this was to be expected, It most certainly helped to put him off his game.
Can't argue about the result though.
