I think all clubs try. We went to Carlisle with a much weaker side and got the result our efforts and talent deserved. We also travelled away to Celtic, Dewsbury and Gateshead last season with low numbers and played some very inexperienced players.

When you have 11 on a Thursday and are travelling away to Gateshead then that is a different matter - especially when you can't even guarantee the 11. (I am not defending the fact we only had 11 available - it was a day of embarassment for the club and one we are determined will not happen again).

2 players on seasonal debut - both regulars at the club who have just finished winter commitments to RL/RU. Both would of played today if not rearranged.
