Rugby League fans travelling to London on Friday will be pleased to learn that the Capital will no longer be grid-locked, as the planned tube strike has been called off.

This is great news for Skolars and Rugby League fans traveling from across the UK and London to watch the annual Friday Night Lights pre Challenge Cup fixture. There are 3 curtain raiser games prior to the Kingstone Press League 1 game between London Skolars & North Wales Crusaders that kicks off at 8pm at New River Stadium (N22 5QW). The game schedule is as follows:

4:00pm – North v London and Down South Masters

5:30pm – London Skolars U16s v East Leeds U16s

6:00pm – South West London Chargers v Scotland Club XIII

8:00pm London Skolars v North Wales Crusaders

Friday Night Lights always provides a great atmosphere as fans from many clubs mingle and can either watch the curtain raisers or take advantage of the Real Ale Festival and BBQ that kicks off from 5pm.

Transport to the Ground

Rugby League fans traveling into London can take the Piccadilly line direct from Kings Cross to Wood Green Station. From Wood Green Station they can either walk 10-12 minutes down White Hart Lane or take advantage of the Skolars free bus service which runs direct from the tube station to New River Stadium. The courtesy bus service will commence at 4:45pm and run up until just before kick-off at 8pm then also take fans back to the station following the game.

Friday Night Lights is the perfect start to the Wembley weekend so to purchase discounted tickets online (£10 adult, £5 concession) visit the Skolars club shop on our website or follow the link below.
