Disagree dont think he was poor last season, always gives 100% and thats more than a lot of players did last season.

He will be alongside Chris Keating, staying away from injury, one of the best halfback pairings in the league given time to gell. The reason Hulls halves did not play that well last night was they were frightened to death of him. He must have whispered in their ears what they were in for at the start of the game, he did the same at Warrington, with Myler in one particular tackle Myler's face went grey.

IMO he is a great player and leader we will be ok, I know Dobbo was a good player for us but not half the leader this guy will turn out to be.

I have watched the Robins for over 50 years and go back to Harry Pool and Frank Foster who where worth 10 points to you when they stepped on the field this guy will turn out the same and bye the way you heard it hear first.

My most memorable performance of his was when he wound up both Danny Brough and Eorl Crabtree to the point both were no use to Huddersfield as a team.

Seen Brough wound up a couple of times but not Big Eorl.

Couldnt agree with you more, guys like him who give 100% every minute of every game are priceless, intimidating the opposition is,as you say is worth at least 10pts.No disrespect to dobbo who was great for us,give me travis every time, and keating and him are as good as any in S/L.

Burns is Rovers most important player right now but I'd still say his best game in a Rovers shirt was last season at home to Huddersfield.

Has a superior kicking game to Dobson. Always thought that area of his game was vastly over rated.

I agree that Burns has turned into a very important player for you (temper tantrums apart) but the constant sniping at Dobson from some on here is unbelievable. The guy carried your team for years and its a bit disingenuous to be bad mouthing him.

100% correct. No one should forget what Dobson has done for our club. His importance to the team came to the fore in Morgan's last season where we virtually couldn't buy a win when he was injured. I like Burns and think he is now our go to man, but he has a hell of a long way to go before he goes above Dobson with regards to the importance of our team. I can count on 1 hand how many games Burns influence has won for us. In Dobson's first season, every game we won, he had a massive influence on.

Finally all those who are saying Dobson wasn't a patch on Burns are just plain and simple disrespecting a great player who kept us challenging for the top 8 every season.
