i still believe we will win things, but like every year i say this year is our year.. and honestly if we stop the brain farts silly penalties and shoddy defence why not, the team looks good just a few more signing to get maybe shaun lunt will be one and someone put hampshire from wigan on loan would not be bad option

i hope you do win things -a fully competitive league would be fantastic not to mention being able to shut the mouths of the arrogant wigan /Leeds fans. But KR won't be winning anything until you BUILD a team. Leeds, warrington, huddersfield and salford all have tried buying success-all failed. Steady building has worked.

True. However, I think finally bringing in some exciting talent such as Kelly will ultimately help us to do that. Players are not only attracted to a club or to stay at a club by the money, but also by the quality of player they will be alongside.

see shaun lunt put on red army facebook to all asking if i have signed for another club, i have a year left on my contract (you do the maths).. so if this is true guess he won't be signing for kr then

Like Josh Hodgson's 'ha ha, Hull is great for rumours' (or whatever it was), it stops short of an outright denial. The maths could be that if Hudds are willing to sell and somebody offers him more than one year on improved terms, then obviously he'd be off. Or it could just mean I'm with Hudds for 2015. Dunno whether to be encouraged that he's not been explicit or a bit down at what a straightforward reading implies.

If he doesn't sign, then Chester's public expression of interest was something of a presentational error.

Sustained investment and building up an infrastructure is the way to go if you have sufficient funds. The draw of the NRL has been a game changer though, and I'm not sure we'll see teams stick together around core of experienced homegrown players for year after year (like Leeds of recent seasons). The more rapid evolutions in playing roster, with continuity of culture, seen at Wigan this decade is a more likely model.

There's always a slim chance of things falling just right in the cup. But our chances (and those of the other clubs not regularly winning silverware) of breaking the glass ceiling and the hegemony of the teams that have dominated the SL era seem remote still. Just the way it is and there's plenty to enjoy in competing in SL even when you're not one of the teams competing for the title.
